POLÍTICA DE SEGURANÇA
SkyAir declares its intention to maintain, and whenever possible, enhance safety levels in all its activities and to minimize its contribution to the risk of aviation accidents as far as reasonably practicable.
Safety is a primary consideration of our organization and is a constant value that we all share. We remain compliant with all applicable legislation, to meet all applicable requirements, and adopt practices to enhance safety standards.
As the Accountable Manager, it is my responsibility to ensure the highest level of safety performance in all our operations, activities, and services, as well as to ensure that safety management is a priority for all managers.
I will ensure that adequate resources and training are provided to manage, improve, maintain, and address the efficient implementation and management of our Safety Management System.
SkyAir establishes and implements hazard identification and risk management processes, including a hazard communication system, to eliminate or mitigate safety risks arising from operations and activities, in order to achieve continuous improvement in safety performance.
The organization clearly defines for all employees and managers the scope of their personal responsibility to achieve the safety level indicators adopted in the organization, as well as for the functioning of the safety management system as a whole.
We ensure that management continuously promotes the safety policy and demonstrates its commitment to it.
By supporting a culture of informed learning as part of our decision-making, along with accountability and responsibility, we will ensure that all employees are fully aware and trained regarding safety.
All Skyair employees and stakeholders are encouraged to report safety events or potential hazards, no matter how insignificant they may seem.
We establish and maintain a Safety Management System for Maintenance, with the primary objective of recognizing safety as a paramount goal at all times, minimizing and controlling the risks involved in maintenance to offer the highest levels of safety.
The commitment to applying the principles of “just culture” forms the basis for the organization’s internal rules that describe how these principles are ensured and implemented. Ensuring an open reporting culture that encourages anonymous and candid reports through a fair and positively incentivized culture is fundamental to SkyAir. The organization will not take punitive or retaliatory actions against any employee who reports a safety incident, occurrence, or hazard, provided it is not intentionally and consciously provoked.
SkyAir applies the principles of “just culture” to internal safety communication and incident investigation, and in particular, does not make available or use information on incidents:
- to assign blame or responsibility to any team member for actions, omissions, or decisions made by them that are proportionate to their experience and training; or
- for any purpose other than maintaining or improving aviation safety.
The organization applies human factors principles, including giving due consideration to aspects of fatigue.
We are committed to maintaining compliance with all applicable legislation, meeting all requirements, and adopting practices to improve safety standards. Additionally, we ensure that all employees receive adequate and appropriate information about their roles, ensuring that tasks are assigned according to their competencies. We promote proactive and systematic safety management, along with a positive safety culture.
Our objectives are clear:
- Achieve effective safety management and continuous improvement;
- Maintain an accident-free environment;
- Foster friendly relationships among company employees and a positive work environment;
- Ensure full compliance with national and international statutory regulations applicable to the organization.
These objectives are for the benefit of the company, our employees, and customers.
All SkyAir employees share the responsibility to act in accordance with applicable legislation, standards, and best practices, cooperating with compliance monitoring and safety processes to fully understand and execute policies and procedures.
Our Safety Management System is developed and implemented proactively and systematically, always aiming for continuous improvements.
The continuous improvement of SkyAir’s safety performance will be supported by the establishment, measurement, and regular review of established safety performance indicators and goals.
We recognize the need for all employees to cooperate with the compliance monitoring process and internal investigations, ensuring that safety standards are not compromised by commercial imperatives.
The Safety Policy will be reviewed whenever necessary to comply with all regulatory requirements issued that require a change to SkyAir’s SMS.
This statement is based on the commitment to promote and contribute to a safe aviation environment and to build a strong safety culture.
Safety is everyone’s responsibility.
The Accountable Manager is ultimately responsible for Operational Safety in the organization.
Accountable Manager
